Peta
Lilly Workshop
A recent workshop organised by the ITG was a 2 day Physical Theatre
Skills Workshop delivered by Peta Lily on 18-19 September 2004 (see
photos from workshop to right). Peta is a renowned performer, teacher and
director of invigorating theatre. She is an actress in mainstream and
independent theatre and has devised, directed and performed shows, plays, film
and opera.
Over the two days, the themes that Peta addressed in what was a challenging but
fun workshop included:
- Get physical: Introduction to physical and ensemble theatre techniques
- Get into another skin: Transform yourself through physical and
imaginative characterisation skills

Get
atmospheric: Learn how to maximise the quality of interplay between
performers and to enhance dramatic tension
- Get at the 'truth': Create truthful and fresh performances through
techniques including, the use of gestures and points of concentration.
