A moving and controversial play about unmarried mothers deprived of their babies and their freedom and forced to work as 'penitents' in Church-run laundries. ‘Eclipsed’ is the story of four such women in Ireland in the 1960s and the nuns who controlled their lives.

The play was written by Patricia Burke Brogan and was directed by Isabel Walsh.
