Performed: 25-26 May 2004 in the Studio Theatre in Schaerbeek, and 28 May 2004 in Antwerp at the FEATS 2004 festival.

Information on the play:
Winners depicts the last day on Earth of two young lovers. The audience learns of the fate that awaits the young pair through two narrators. Life, in the presence of death, appears all the more precious and fleeting. Haunting, beautiful language from the pen of Ireland's leading modern playwright tells the comic and poignant story of the complex, maddening, wonderful mystery of love. Set in 1960’s rural Ireland.

Cast: Jonathan Duff, Liz Ross, Maria Aitken and Colum Hatchell

This production was the ITG's entry in to the FEATS 2004 competition and it came third overall, a feat for which the play was awarded the 'Tache Diamonds' prize at the competition. Click here to read the adjudicator's full assessment of this play.
