JOIN US ON 3 JULY FOR AN EVENING OF PLAY READINGS AND BLOOMS DAY CELEBRATIONS!

The Irish Theatre Group are pleased to let you know we are holding some play readings!
To mark the beginning of the Irish Presidency from July 1st until December 31st 2026, we will hold three evenings of play readings.

The first of these will be held on Friday July 3rd at the Warehouse Theatre on Rue Waelhem 69A, 1030 Schaerbeek, Brussels, doors opening at 7.30pm and beginning at 8.00pm.

Admission is free!

If you are interested in getting involved in theatre, or always wanted to try your hand at acting, or simply want to get to know more about Irish Theatre, come along to read a part in one of the plays, or just as a member of the audience.

To give as many people as possible the chance to read, we will read one act from two different plays. We are starting with an old Irish favorite by Brian Friel, Philadelphia, Here I Come. And the second is a new play by Conor McPherson, The Brightening Air.

Both plays have a mixed cast. Philadelphia has 11 men and three women and Brightening Air
needs 4 women and 4 men. It promises to be great fun and an opportunity to meet others who are new to Brussels and many who have been here for several years.

Light refreshments will be provided. The bar will be open.

And after a short interval a second part of this evening will celebrate Blooms Day. A little later than we typically do, and with a shortened celebration, so if you would like to come along and read or sing or recite something, or just come along to meet some new people, let us know and we’ll include you in the evening.
